From the early morning starts to the final whistle, they're the friendly faces welcoming competitors, helping at sporting venues, answering questions and making sure everything runs smoothly.
Some are familiar faces who return year after year, while others are experiencing the magic of the Friendly Games for the first time. But they all have one thing in common — a willingness to roll up their sleeves, lend a hand and make everyone feel welcome.
It's this generosity, community spirit and good old-fashioned Territory hospitality that makes the Alice Springs Masters Games so special.
When you see one of our wonderful volunteers out and about this week, give them a smile, a high-five or a heartfelt thank you.
Because while the medals might go to the competitors, our volunteers deserve a standing ovation!
