For Darwin athlete Maggie Roberts, staying active is a way of life. A keen runner and swimmer, she's a familiar face at Masters sporting events and a member of Darwin's MAD Frogs running group — short for Mature Athletes Darwin.

Earlier this year, Maggie competed at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin, lining up in the 60m sprint alongside her good friend and fellow 88-year-old athlete Nola Brockie.

And this certainly isn't Maggie's first visit to the Friendly Games. She was competing in the pool at the 2018 Alice Springs Masters Games, proving that her passion for sport has stood the test of time.

For Maggie, it's not just about winning medals. It's about keeping fit, staying connected and enjoying every opportunity to get moving.

Now back in Alice Springs for the 40th anniversary Games, Maggie is a wonderful reminder that you're never too old to enjoy a little friendly competition!
