If there's one thing the Friendly Games have reminded us of this week, it's that good things happen when good people come together.

And there have been plenty of good people making things happen across Alice Springs!

From the early risers setting up sporting venues before the first competitors arrive to the night owls packing everything away long after the crowds have gone home, it's taken an incredible amount of effort to bring these Games to life.

There are the sports coordinators juggling fixtures, the officials keeping competitions fair, and the dedicated people tallying scores, recording results and making sure every achievement is recognised.

The friendly faces at the Games Centre answering questions, solving problems and pointing people in the right direction. The medical teams looking after everyone's health and wellbeing. The volunteers offering encouragement, lending a hand and making sure no one feels like a stranger.

And let's not forget our charity partners, including the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT, along with the local businesses, event partners, suppliers and countless others who've played their part.

Some have been front and centre. Others have worked quietly behind the scenes, doing the little things that make a big difference.

And when this year's Games threw a few challenges our way, these wonderful people rolled up their sleeves, adapted and kept things moving with determination and good humour.

That's the Alice Springs we know and love. A community that pulls together, looks out for one another and knows how to make visitors feel right at home.

So, as you make your way home, if you spot someone who's helped make your Games experience that little bit better, give them a handshake, a high five or a fist bump.

Because every friendly face, every helping hand and every extra effort has helped make this 40th anniversary one to remember.

To everyone who made it happen, including the cheering supporters, we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you!
